2 weeks later…

It is hard to believe that we have been back in the States for almost 2 weeks already!
The time has flown thanks to “jet-lag fog” and a really nasty cold which has taken its toll on all of us in one form or another. Thankfully Hannah’s antibiotics have kicked in, and Abigail is starting to turn [...]
A Final Scottish Sunrise

I finally got the chance to tick a Scottish sunrise off my “to witness and blog about” list the day before our departure.
I thought I would just share a few of my favorite pictures from that morning. It really was quite spectacular and awesome!
The start of the splendor…

Departure Day Drama

Tuesday is the big moving day. Between now and then our lives are occupied with goodbyes, sorting, packing, packing, more packing, then packing some more.
Sadly, that leaves no time for blogging. Once we get back to the States we will get back in the swing with some updates and posts on new adventures.
We would covet [...]
Thanksgiving in Scotland

Last Sunday we celebrated Thanksgiving with some of our dearest friends in Aberdeen (the Strobels, Merricks and McDowells). No explanations of American customs were needed considering we are all Yanks (exept for Mark, but he is thoroughly enculturated at this point). It was an incredible time and, in good Thanksgiving fashion, we ate more than [...]
Tammy?!?
Posted in Uncategorized on December 1, 2008 | 1 Comment »
I was a little shocked when we first moved here to realize that the name “Tammy” isn’t too common in Scotland. Whenever people would ask my name, I would immediately get very puzzled looks as they tried to repeat it back to me. Typically it would sound a bit like “Tea-ammy???” or “Tommy???”. After that happened 3 or 4 times I decided to [...]
