Hello, my name is Tammy…I am an ice cream addict and I think I need rehab.  Is there such a thing as IAA?!?  Mine isn’t an addiction for just any ice cream, but mint chocolate chip.  I have always loved it, and always will.  As of late it has become quite a vice for me.  It [...]

Asda Delivery

Asda is one of the larger grocery stores here in the UK.  It is a sister store to WalMart and therefore has the same look and feel much like WalMart back home (only smaller without as much selection) and it even has the same smiley face logo and greeters that welcome you through the door.  What is great about [...]

Country Time

Ahhh…the open fields, the trees, the animals, the wind, the smells of the country…
I am sure some people do just fine living in a bigger city all their life without the need to get away from the concrete (or granite here), the traffic, and the noise.  Kent and I have realized since moving here that we are not big [...]

First day of school!

***sigh*** My baby had her first day of school today…  It is hard to believe that she is old enough to be out of diapers let alone going to SCHOOL!  She started at Sunnybank Nursery and couldn’t be more excited!  It technically isn’t school that she is starting, that really begins at age 5 when they begin P1 (kindergarten) [...]

Olympics 2008

We LOVE everything about the Olympics:  the excitement of the opening ceremonies, glimpsing a different culture where each Olympics is held, watching all the different venues, the fierce competition, and the agony of defeat for some and the thrill of the gold for others.
So, with the closing ceremonies behind us, our household is grieving the end of Olympic fever – yes even Abigail; our source of entertainment [...]

I had just given birth WITHOUT pain killers mind you, besides ”gas and air” (which is like the laughing gas you get at the dentist) and granted it wasn’t a long delivery (for which there was much rejoicing) but I will never forget when the midwife asked if I was hungry to which I replied, “Famished!!!”  She then said she [...]

Having a second child….

Having a second child has shown me…

that my heart can grow immediately to love another child as much as my first
that one CAN live off of only a few meager hours of sleep for days at a time
that enduring through the first agonizing and painful days of breastfeeding IS worth it in the end
that having a [...]
